Enjoy the Holidays With These Toronto Events

The weather is colder, and we’ve had the first big snowstorm of the season. So, what is there to do other than curling up in front of the fire to read a book? Plenty! Gather your family around and see what they’d like to do before and after Christmas!

Distillery Winter Village/Toronto Christmas Market

Running now through December 31

Rebranded to the Distillery Winter Village last year, this event is still the Toronto Christmas Market that you remember. You’ll find beautiful winter displays, cabins with outdoor shopping, plenty of food vendors, music, and the usual shops and restaurants that the Distillery has to offer year-round. You also won’t want to miss the enormous Christmas tree!

Admission is free from Monday to Thursday, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 4pm. After that, book online to secure your spot for the evening events!

Canada’s Wonderland Winterfest

Running now through December 31 on selected nights

Experience a winter wonderland at Canada’s Wonderland this holiday season! Be amazed by the thousands of Christmas lights, decorations, and magical performances. Take part in cookie decorating, building crafts, and ice skating. There are also some select family rides that you or just the kids can enjoy. And don’t forget the craft beer and wine vendors for the adults!

Nathan Phillips Square

Running now through December 31

As always, you’ll find plenty to see and do at Nathan Phillips Square. Already launched with the Cavalcade of Lights, the Christmas market, the Christmas tree, and the skating rink are on display and operating in full effect. There is also the Holiday Fair in the Square that runs until December 23rd. This fair features vendor booths, an artisan market, food trucks, a bar with mulled wine, a midway with rides and games, and live performances. And if you’ve never had a Beaver Tail, this is your chance!

Christmas at the Castle and Casa Loma’s Holiday Lights Tour

Be awestruck by the 40-foot Christmas tree now standing in Casa Loma’s Great Hall. But there are also eight other professionally designed trees for your enjoyment, all decorated by Canadian artists.

And while you’re there, travel through the gardens and tunnels to see what this year’s edition of the Holiday Lights Tour looks like.
