Hey Toronto! This summer looks like we can finally enjoy the summer events we’ve come to know and love. Here are the 2022 summer events you can enjoy once again as Toronto gets back to its old self.
Doors Open
May 28 and 29
This is your chance to get an up close and personal look at those buildings you walk by every day. If you love architecture, take advantage of the opportunity to check out historical buildings that you usually wouldn’t be allowed to enter.
Pride Toronto
The Month of June
This much celebrated event is finally back. Everyone is welcome to join the festivities for a month-long party of must-attend events including:
- Cabana Pool Party, June 15
- Island Party, June 19

TD Toronto Jazz Festival
June 24 to July 3
Warm summer nights and the sounds of smooth jazz are a match made in heaven. Entering its 35th year, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival offers 10 days of world-class music with something for everyone. From Smokey Robinson to Gregory Porter and from Michael Kaeshammer to local talent, grab a lawn chair and settle in for a weekend of live performances.
Luminato Festival
June 9 to June 19
What could be more fitting than to attend Toronto’s Luminato Festival? This is the event designed in 2007 to help Toronto bounce back following the 2003 SARS epidemic. It speaks to the city’s resilience and love of art, with performances by local and international artists alike. Explore diverse artistic talent throughout Toronto’s iconic neighbourhoods.
TD Salsa on St. Clair
July 9 and 10
No one can resist the sultry sounds of salsa. Sway to the music at Canada’s largest Latin street party with Latino beats, non-stop dancing and authentic Latin American cuisine.
Taste of Lawrence
July 8 to July 10
Indulge your taste buds with the diverse flavours of Scarborough’s multicultural community. Entering its 18th year, the three-day food experience is one of the summer’s best kept secrets offering a unique opportunity to indulge in world music and cuisine served in the vibrant, welcoming neighbourhood of Wexford.
Toronto Caribbean Festival
July 28 to August 1
Another Toronto tradition, this festival turns 55 in 2022, attracting over a million tourists every year. Although known for its stunningly colourful Grande Parade, there is so much more to the festival. From DayFete on the Roof at Toronto Event Centre to the Cruise in the 6ix, the party doesn’t stop.
JerkFest Toronto
August 4 to August 7
With your newfound love of all things Caribbean, JerkFest carries on the party with Caribbean food and music. If you love the sounds of Caribbean music and the spicy flavours of island cuisine, Centennial Park is the only destination for you this weekend.
Taste of the Danforth
August 7 to 9
I’m sure I don’t have to say much about Toronto’s biggest street festival. Live performances and mouthwatering Greek food await along the thriving area of the Danforth at Greek Town.
Canadian National Exhibition
August 19 to September 5
The CNE is a bittersweet event marking the arrival of food, rides and events, as well as the end of summer. This world class spectacular offers something for everyone from music to rides and from midway games to an endless assortment of tempting carnival foods.
